Taq Art No 01

The Future of Collecting

“The inaugural issue of the magazine, themed ‘Middle East Post-Intermission: Art, Market, and Survival in Times of Crisis’, is an endeavor to understand the dynamics of contemporary art in a region simultaneously grappling with war, displacement, economic restructuring, and cultural shifts. By bringing together researchers, critics, curators, artists, and cultural practitioners, Taq Art provides a platform for dialogue among art, economy, politics, and society, striving to become a reference point for analyzing emerging trends, art market transformations, and future cultural research in the Middle East.”

At the launch of TAQ ART Magazine, held in the courtyard of RAVI Tehran, Mohammadreza Moradi, Kourosh Golnari, Pejman Mousavi, and Maryam Esfandiari shared their perspectives on contemporary art, the importance of dialogue, and the role of ideas and research in shaping artistic movements. The event also provided an opportunity to introduce the magazine and bring artists, researchers, and art enthusiasts together.
